At Cakes By Design your celebration cake is my priority. I specialise in individually designed wedding cakes, civil partnership cakes, birthday cakes, anniversary cakes, engagement cakes, christening cakes and corporate cakes...
In fact whatever occasion you need a cake for, I can help!
Once you have decided to order your wedding cake from Cakes By Design the first step is a consultation with the client to establish exactly what is required.
If a face-to-face consultation is not possible, ideas and pictures can be sent via e-mail or post.
Designs can be traditional, novelty themed or a chocoholics dream!
Once ideas have been discussed and finalised we will send out a confirmation of the order detailing all of the requirements that have been discussed.
A deposit of £50 is normally taken at this stage to confirm the booking. This is deducted off the final balance.
Final payment is due 14 days prior to collection or delivery.
Payment may be made by cash or cheque.
We regret that we do not accept credit cards.
We can deliver your wedding cake to your wedding venue anywhere in Cornwall.
We do make an additional charge for this service.
Once everything has been finalised, that’s it!
Sit back and relax, that’s another thing to cross off the list.
Your cake will arrive at the venue on the day, unless of course you decide to collect it.
Flavours
We offer a variety of flavours for our wedding cakes. Choose from the following:
Traditional Rich Fruit, Carrot Cake,
Vanilla Sponge Cake with a choice of filling: Vanilla buttercream with strawberry jam; Lemon or Orange filling; Tia Maria & Coffee filling; Chocolate Sponge Cake with a choice of filling: Chocolate buttercream filling; Chocolate and Brandy filling; Chocolate and Orange; Chocolate and Baileys.
If you are having a tiered cake each tier can be a different flavour so you can please all of your guests!
Prices are quoted individually for each cake depending on size, design and flavour.
We recommend an order time for wedding cakes of about 6 months, especially if you are having a summer wedding, to be certain of getting the design that you want.
We can of course accommodate orders of a lesser time scale but some designs may not always be possible in a shorter time frame.
