Sands Resort is one mile north of Newquay and sits
on top of the cliff with views of the Atlantic to the West and of the green picturesque valley of St Columb to the East.
The hotel was refurbished in a 2002 in a modern Mediterranean Sea-shore style, the design is spacious and colourful and the atmosphere fun and relaxed.
The hotel's wedding host Leanne Armstrong, whose friendly approach has made her many friends with previous clients, will handle your arrangements personally.
The hotel has recently been licensed as a venue for civil marriages, which take place in our 'Beachcombers Suite', which is decorated, in an attractive yellow and blue colour scheme that will
add a touch of summer to your day no matter what the weather is doing outside.
The local registrar will perform the service.

We have a variety of rooms suitable for up to 100 guests and our Beachcomber reception suite has superb sea views.

We show on the refreshments and menus page a number of sample menus for you to look at, but prefer to tailor the menu to each individual couple and their guests.
Whatever you choose you can be safe in knowing that we only use fresh ingredients and do not precook food for convenience.
Sands also has the county's most reasonably priced wine list with a range of quality wines that won't sting your pocket.
After your meal you may choose to end the evening with a party and we will be pleased to arrange the entertainment of your choice including disco, dance Bands and casino evenings with drinks served from our new 'Beachcomber Bar'.
Children can often be a problem at weddings especially for those travelling long distances with their families. But at Sands we have a range of award winning childcare facilities and can offer services such as baby listening, crèche and organised parties to ensure they have fun and you can relax.
The hotel has 70 two room suites for your guests and offers them use of the extensive sports and
leisure facilities. Special rates may be offered for large groups or extended stays.
